Lloyd’s of London is no longer writing gun-related insurance policies after more than 20 years of providing this type of coverage.

The new carrier for this coverage is Harco National Insurance Company. Harco provides admitted U.S. coverage that is approved by your state insurance department, which ensures you are protected through guaranty funds. Harco is rated “Excellent” by A.M. Best, an independent financial rating organization of the insurance industry.

We never share your information with any outside entities. Your state has approved the policy form and authorized us to sell this policy in your state, but your information is not shared with the state.

This new policy provides the same General & Professional Liability Insurance coverage you have come to expect, including:

  • Injuries and damage you cause while acting as an instructor during training
  • Medical expenses up to $5,000
  • Professional Liability coverage that protects you from allegations of negligent training

To ensure you receive the correct insurance solution for your business, we are asking instructors to complete an updated application, which takes only a few minutes.

You should have received a letter or email from us that included the expiration date of your current policy. When reapplying, please use that policy expiration date as the effective date of your new policy. This will ensure a seamless transition.

This is an individual instructor policy, so each instructor needs to purchase their own policy and complete the application process.

The policy will be listed in your individual name and your business name as a Doing Business As (DBA).
